Fluval 106 Overkill?

So recently I have began to hate the look of my internal filter. As my tank is only 30L it it very prominent which annoys me

So with a good pay day recently I've been looking at some external filters on the market, and the most prominent one I am interested in is the Fluval 106. Now i'm a firm believer in "more is better" but do you think this is too much for a 30L?

The filter itself is compatible with up to 100L and the compartments feature is also tempting me further in. Need your opinion on this one.

It's about 500-525 LPH and 125 gph so that's about 18x turnover but Id say as long as you can turn down the power of the output why not?
