Fluval 1 Plus

So im thinking of re-stocking my 25-30 litre tall hexagen tank with a male betta but the current from my fluval plus 1 is quite strong if i put the cotton stuff you change weekly around the spounge to slow the flow down would it knacker my filter?

Go ahead and baffle your filter. I've seen people use a kitchen sponge or part of a plastic soda bottle to do it so I'm sure your idea would work just as well.
