Thats it, my pleco has got jagged skin because the salt (in which came with the mollies) is in the tank. i guss i need to get that salt out. Water change im gussing. 50 % tomorrow

If you just netted the mollies and and put them into the salt water, then netted them back into the tank, the amount of salt that was carried with them is very minute. I agree with wilder, the jagged fins is because of finrot, a bacterial infection.

Call some of your friends with cars and see if any of them can give you a ride to the LFS since your parents are out of town. Or what about a bike?

They didt have what you suggested wilder. However i bought the following. (remember im trying to help my mollies flufff eye, and at the same time try and heal pleco fins)
REVITALISER TONIC (king british)
BACTERIA CONTROL (king british)
ANTI FUNGUS AND FINROT (interpet)


Which one should u use.


Can you add them all (thinking that might harm the fish)

What kind of plec have you got in a 72l? This could be contributing to your problem. Most plecs make more mess than they eat, and most aren't suitable for a 72l tank.

Don't use the tonic only good for introducing new fish as it weak.
Add the finrot med by interpet, plus the bacterial control by king british.
You must increase aeration as the two med will reduce 02 alot in the tank.

added. dont mean to sound "dumb" but whats aeration (is it the filter speed)

should that start to heal the fluf eye and fin rot

adding araition means incrasing the oxygen in the tank. You can do it by adding an air stone, increasing the filter speed, or lowering the water level in the tank by about an inch, so the filter stirs up the water more.

If i'm correct as i have not used it for years but dosn't the anti finrot med one dose for seven days, just check the instructions.
Never used king british meds so what does it say in the instructions.
If you can't increase aeration, don't really want to be adding the two meds.

I have made the filter speed faster.
With REVITALISER TONIC it says it gets rid of slime and swimbladder (which will come in handy)
anti finrot med is 7 days
and BACTERIA CONTROL is 4 days.

(my plan tmmorow was put the mollie in a jug and add table food salt for ten mins) (will i still need to do that now as i have bought treatment?

You could leave the salt dip for now, just watch to see if it clear up, if it gets worse yes start the salt dips, good luck.

My mollie fluff eye has got better but still can see a little on there
My pleco fins are still very saw. I add med and im hoping for the best. Thanks

With the fins, it will take some time for them to regrow, however, stopping the infection that they may have is important or else it may kill the fish. Best of luck!
