i wanted to give my fish another cave to hide in and was woundering if there is a trick to getting fish to go into the cave.

Not really any tricks. If they like them then they'll let you know. Slate caves are commonly made.

i have a headstander and a pair of kribs who might use it, so guess ill just see if they like it. if not i will give it tomy loach tank

I've got 2 flower pots in mine and my pleco loves it and the mollys I had used to hide in it sometimes as well was thinking of covering it with moss as well but just haven't got round to it

Bury it slightly into the substrate rather than just placing it on its side and they might be more inclined to try it out.

I use a large flower pot for my Jack Dempsey tank. I don't really like the look of it but he seems to like it so I just left it there for years.
