Here's a laugher and a cryer.

My bucket handle broke, and sloshed 15l of water ALL over the carpet. Fortunately it wasn't mucky filter findings, just clean water!

Please tell me I'm not alone in this!

My cat tripped me and I spilled about a gallon of dirty water all over the tile... Needless to say, I was in much trouble and had to mop the floor XD

when i was syphoning water the other end of the hose would some how sneak out of the bucket and on to my floor and i got over half of my 30g tank empty when i relized that it was going onto my floor instead of into the bucket, i was making a mad dash to the bathroom for towels, but i am always spilling water on my carpet the worse one was when i was cleaning out my turtle tank and spilled water lets just say my room smelled like a swamp for a week

I've been siphoning into a container and started daydreaming, completely oblivious to the water overflowing onto the carpet and inching towards the electrics. Only realised when my feet got wet!

I had the siphon slip out once, fortunately I noticed before much leaked, but it must have been a couple of litres.

Nothing compared to this! Good job I don't have a 5 gallon bucket!!

4 year old daughter thought it was funny!

Never done this as I use a siphon connected to a hose to remove water and it goes out the window, I hose the water back onto the tanks too.
What I did do though was forget I was siphoning water out and come in to the room to find only a few inches of water left in the tank.

Always happens to me, darn cats!

I was trying to catch my angel to put into a bucket when cleaning it (Do it every week, since he is too big).
He is really hard to catch, and i tripped over a 20L bucket full with water!

So i went to get the sponge to suck the water up, meanwhile my fish jumped out of the tank!

Worst cleaning of my life :grr:

hehe me too! I overflow at least once everytime from daydreaming {about more fishtanks} My pitiful little buckets are only 2 gallons each and I'm changing water on a 46g. What a nightmare! Getting good arm muscles from the 100 trips to dump them outside!

Mines 46 galls too, I got fed up of the buckets and have a reallllllly long siphon tube going out the window now.

Well, I've bought a new stronger bucket now. It's a smidge smaller, but less weight in the bucket can't be bad after the last fiasco!

Funny how people snigger when you tell them. Took my daughter to nursery this morning, and the first thing she said to the staff was 'Daddy broke the bucket and water went everywhere!'. Charming!
