Fishy Resolutions

Well i got one part done today, i finally bought a male stingray to partner my female, pics are in the photos forum

My new year resolution is to save and get myself a 200L plus tank! :D

Which means rearranging the front room when i eventualy get one! The tv will def have to be moved to another location or get a wall mounted plasma one!

Fingers crossed for the lottery for me then! :D :D :D

I have one more to add. I want to build a bigger pond for my goldfish. The current one is too small and overstocked. It's one of the plastic ones that you dig a hole and stick in. My wife wants a screened porch and we have a 12x30 patio at the back of the house. I want to make that a screened porch and put the goldfish pond (hopefully something in the 1500-2000 gallon range) in the center. This one is a little on the ambitious side though so it may not come to pass.

My resolution, is to get as much of my old fish room back into operation as I can before my wife catches on, lol.

My resolutions for 2006:

Find a pair of the last two wild betta species I want to work with (persephone and brownorum)

Get all 7 species of wild-type bettas I will have to successfully spawn for me (this means some experiements with water for those burdigala)

Complete my stock of fancy show bettas (would like to add one more steel DT male, a yellow STF, and a red STF), then get all of them to successfully spawn
(Seeing a trend here?? I have all these fish, they spawn, but so far, nothing is coming of their efforts)

Have something to enter 2006-2007 IBC show season as a novice with

Get those last remaining community fish out of the pugnax tank and into their own tank so the pugnax will finally spawn

Finally get a pair of Fundulopanchax sjoestedti

Join the local killifish club and actually make it to one of their meetings

Get the fiance to at least pretend like he gives a rat's rear end about my fish ;) (Though I'm sure this will never happen, a girl can dream)

My resolutions are:
quit smoking (as usual)
Move into our new home sucsesfully
raise a baby as smoothly as possible when augaust arrives
Make the reef tank that i have already started be in operation by the end of the year with no casulties at all
Upgrade all of my current tanks

MAM - I'll be happy to encourage you on this resolution - they are a super nice bunch of people. And then we can actually meet in person and talk bettas and livebearers (that way I don't feel so strange being there since I don't have any killiefish! ). Next meeting is just a couple weeks away - 2nd Saturday.

My resolutions are to start developing my albino lyretail swordtail strains, spawn more bettas (1st new pair arriving next week from Indonesia) and to get my red laser corys to spawn. I think the last one is going to be the most challenging.
