Ok alot of you are going to disagree with me because of your promotions of fishless cycling however. I bought these tablets called TetraFish Mature Filter Media Tablets. You can put in tank or filter. They speed up the process. Within 2 days you can add fish gradually doing 40% stock 1st week then 40% stock next week then the rest.

Call me a liar if you like but they DO work. And fishless cycling is a bit of a chore really. IMO obivously. But I also repsect eveyrone elses views.

All fish alive for 4 weeks and 2 days

Im using same method as above :D

Im not calling anyone a liar but beneficial bacteria can not live in a table. They can't live in a dried state period. That is a proven fact. So I don't know what the tables do. Possibly neutralize ammonia and nitrite but they don't help the tank develop bacteria. The only bacteria aid that seems to work are Bio-Spira and Bactinettes and those are refrigerated all the time and have a very short shelf life. Otherwise the bacteria consume all the food put in the bottle for them and die off.

Have you tested you ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH levels? It could also be that these tablets are acting as a chemical filter and removing the ammonia meaning the tank will never cycle and you will have to use them forever.

Edit: I did a Google search and no record of that product comes up. I also went to TetraFish's website and they don't list it as a product either.

Exactly what RDD said
Not calling you a liar, you obviously believe the company, and i commend you for being so trusting.
But personally i think that they just want your money, which is why they make these claims......
Surely considering the number of posters on this forum there would be at least one post to back up the claim these (imho) rip off merchants make?
In addition no-one has said that fish are guaranteed to die during a fish in cycle, however it can lead to stress and poor health in the future.
Your tank may be cycled, i doubt anyone could possibly deny that, but i would have thought your fish had to endure a fair bit of ammonia and/or nitrite poisoning in the process...
Just my opinion though :dunno:

So up urs

Looks like you'll be banned from the forum soon if you keep that up.
You've had all the advice you're getting from me.
Good luck killing all your fish!

I looked that up and read what it said and I still stand my original statement that it will do nothing to help cycle a tank. Bacteria can not live in a dried state. Period. Now if it is actually in capsule form, the contents are liquid and it has been refrigerated, then there is the possibility it may work. Otherwise, it will not help.

Edit: When they tested your water, did they give you the exact readings: ammonia 1ppm, nitrite 1pp, etc. ofr did they just tell you they were ok or in the acceptible range and how often did you have the water tested? And as mentioned, that attitude will either get you banned or at the least to where no one will offer help when you need it.

woul'nt trust pets at home. They seen clueless to me. Went there for some algae treatment and tryed selling me pond stuff.
