I've started a couple of threads on here about books so i thought it might be useful to build up a list of the books everyone has and give them a rating out of 10 (1 being totally rubbish and 10 being written by god himself). That way if anyone needs a book they will have reviews and ratings of 100's of books (hopefully) at their fingertips.

I have:

Aquarium Fishes of the World
Axelrod / Burgess / Pronek / Boruchowitz
8/10. Very informative and comprehensive for beginner and expert.

Baensch Aquarium Atlas Photo Index 1-5
Baensch
9/10. I think the ultimate freshwater fish reference book.

I have marine books too but i will stick to freshwater in this thread.

:good:

Baensch Atlases are up there
For pictorial referenceing then go with Aqualog's which are split into different catagories.

I own all the Baensch atlases and the Atlas of Freshwater and Marine Catfishes by Burgess which is the catfish enthusiasts bible, i'd give the Baesch atlases 10/10 as they give both solid information and good colour photos, the Burgess atlas id give 7/10 as there could be some more detailed information but the book is fairly old and probably in need of a review anyway.

Come on, i was hoping to get this pinned. Poor response. Does nobody think this is a good idea???
