hi i have been doing a fishless cycle on my 60 litre, i added ammonia from boots (not perfumed) to 5 pmm and the tank has been going for a week i added all the stuffi wanted in the tank like plants ornaments and added bacteri gorwn or summit like that to give it a start i also added an old algea coverd ornament and a sock of "dirty" gravel.
i measured today and the NO3 and NO2 are of the charts i know this is part of the cycle but do i add any more amonia because it is completly gone now.

Cheers patrick

Top up 5 ppm ammonia every 24 hours :good:

You top back up to 5ppm when you have a 0 ammonia reading, but only once every 24 hours.

So if at 8pm you add 5ppm of ammonia and by 4am you have 0, you re-add 5ppm at 8pm. I hope that makes sense.

If you added 5ppm of ammonia at 8pm and by 10pm the next day you still had 2ppm, then you wouldnt re-add it until it reached 0ppm.

Fishless cycle link will explain it much better than I can http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=113861
