Fishless Cycle

Ph crashes are common in fishless cycling if you have a low KH, i believe.

Will be interesting to see if our cycles finish at a similar time then...

Yeah, after i had my first pH crash i decided to get a separate test for KH & GH and see what mine was like.

My KH is 5dKH and apparently thats fine so i guess its just the cycle messing with my pH...

I'm starting to really dislike cycling but have nothing else to talk about! I tried to explain the process to my GF and being blonde already she had to go for a lie down

You just put ammonia in every now and then and leave it... Way better than doing it with fish... Trust me. 50% water changes up to 3 times a day is NOT fun.

Do you have to leave work to do them? or is work off the agenda until your cycle has done?

Well i work silly hours anyway as i work in a hotel... So it fitted in quite nicely.

I just tested and changed the water as often as i could, but eventually it got to the point where i couldn't keep up with the water changes...
