WIth teh advice and exeperience from Wilder in the Emergency Forum i am posting this. I have a Cockatoo Apistogramma with a Eye Cataract. And i have no idea hwo to cure it if it is cureable. Now, is it cureable? If so, how do i treat it? Will it kill my fish? HELP!

Umm... I don't know how to cure it, but one of my horses has a cataract and he needed to have his eye removed because nothing could be done. But he's happy and living his life as a blind horse now. So if I were you, if the fish seems otherwise happy, I would put him in a tank himself or with non-agressive fish and make sure it's easy for him to find food and stuff, since he probably can't see well.

She can see out of one eye, but not the other. I was told sometimes Fungal Medacines can treat it, but i wanted to know if anyone has experinced it and had known the cure. So , if i dont treat it, will she die?

It depends on what it is. If it is the same type that humans get she should be fine. However, if it is disease induced it could be lethal.

Nope, that appears to be Popeye. I'll get a vid ( its on the other side of the fish, turn your sound on so you can hear my commentary!):

Do you see what i mean?
