Fish Tank Help

im looking at getting my own tank, i currently share one with my partner...
i dont wanna spend loads as im planning on re decorating the flat soon...
would anybody point me towrds any decent cheap ones???
im hoping to keep a few male guppys or platies,
help people?

why dont u decorate the flat first coz you can spend you money and then nopthing will go in the tank an you can get a real good tank later

Lol yep may not be decorating flat haha,
just peeked under the wallpaper and its already painted and some body cant put wallpaper up because theres sticky tape under it holding it up....
yuh ok....

have found a tank i like now to beg my mother for my money (no problem)
and looking at a 30-60L BioOrb,
what could i put in it im looking for pretty not bothered about the breeding!?!
could get danios although i like raspbora's dunno aint a clue about them always had guppies...
and what about suker fish??
what type could i put in 30L,?

Im thinking Cory's but like i said i only ever had guppies a few neons and a chinese algae eater....
but the partner wont let me do much with that tank.....
Just because ive got him back into the fish!

if i were you id go for the bigger 60l biOrb it will be much better in the long term...i wouldnt recommend getting any rasboras either if your going to get a 30l because they are shoaling fish and would need a bigger tank.

if i were you id go for the bigger 60l biOrb it will be much better in the long term...i wouldnt recommend getting any rasboras either if your going to get a 30l because they are shoaling fish and would need a bigger tank.

Thats the problem with me(typical lady haha)
i fell inlove with the idea of a betta!, my partner said i can have my own tank IF i dint have a betta (he doesnt like them!)
so then i loked in the classifieds for decent tanks found someone who sold a biorb looked at prices around and ouch!!
but my mum has said she may go half for Xmas....
so im looking for a tank dont even no what siz but smallest 30L....
loved guppies but they are too easy i have to have a challenge!
if i can find a big enough tank (hopefully a good 40 gallon)
i may get something extravagant and pretty!
but im really not sure....
anyone know of a site that sell good tanks for cheapish??

a 40 gallon would be ideal....are you sure you dont mean 40 litre?! because just a minute ago you were talking about 30 litre but now its jumped up to that! if you wanted a 30 litre BiOrb for a betta that would be fine
