Perhaps enter your location in your profile, as this forum is fairly international, and I'm sure some of the members will have suggestions about good places to look for tanks and equipment!
As an aside, I'll mention that you have an opportunity here possibly! You've found this forum before actually buying equipment or starting up your tank (not sure if you have other tanks though!) .. If you're patient you could actually learn quite a lot of interesting things about choice of tank size, best types of filters and good types of media to put in the filter, which is a key piece of equipment. Often beginners come here with these things already in place and don't have that opportunity.
Also, there's a ton of really important reading in the Beginner's Resource Center that's very helpful if you read it prior to actually starting up your tank. There are things in this forum that are very different from what you'd hear at the local fish shop (LFS) usually.
