Fish Swimming At The Top Of The Aquarium?

i have a lake malawi mbuna aquarium and they all seem to be upright at the top of the aquarium. Are they looking for oxygen?

What are your water stats?
Is there enough surface agitation?

Cheers, moved the outtake pipe to near the waters surface and its sorted the problem
