I’ve got a 57l Fluval Flex, all cycled and ready to go! I’ve got a GH of 4 and KH of 6 and a pH of 6.6. Was just wondering if anyone had any community tank stocking suggestions, still undecided (preferably something on a more intermediate/advanced level) . On a side note, would either shell dwellers or pea puffers be suitable in this aquarium? (I understand I will have to do a bit of tinkering with the water chemistry here).Cheers everyone!

will it be planted? what will it be like?

Well I’m unsure at the minute, I was going to plan the tank around the fish instead of the other way round, just wanted some suggestions on possible combinations etc. Although Most likely low-tech planted and sand substrate

ok. so maybe wild tank? im not sure about your legal stuff but over in my area we have hornwort broad leaf anacharis and normal anacharis, there are 3 hornwort types and a type of semi water red leaf plant. in another area there are 2 types of floaters and one floater that is basically semi water looks like a little christmas tree. i could think ofmany blackwater scapes like this with some driftwood found in river! for substrate i dont reccomend getting dirt from river i reccomend some (black diamond blasting sand or white sand) sand with some fertilisers so you can plant more plants without damage.theres some mosquitofish and one type of bottom feeder and one type of big fiah (maybe baby trout or salmon, but thats too big) wiltd type scape. thats all i have to say sorry.it is intermediate tomaintain the ecosystem of shrimp other small bugs, fish and nematodes in this tank basically all you have to do is feed the fish the leftover goes to the other bugs

I'd take advantage of your soft water and go for a nano community of fish that will thrive in there like Clown Killis, some nano Rasboras like Chillis or Green or Blue Neons. You could look at the smaller Gourami too Sparkling would be easy to find but with water that soft you could probably look at the Chocolates and Licourice or Valentines.
