Fish Stocking Advice Needed

see signiture for what i have, i might be giving the serpae tetra to my girlfriend, can i replace these with some tiger barbs? they have some in the lfs that are tiny things (at moment) only about 3/4 inch?

will they shoal with the green tigar barbs?

Yeah they will shoal. mine do I have 9 (x3 tiger x3 albino and x3 green) They are my favorite fish they are very attractive and are so active all the time.
