Fish Spasm

My Metriaclima Estherae Cichlid keeps on having little spasms, and every now and then flings the side of his body on the substrate, almost like he is trying to scratch himself.

Could this be a sign of worms?

malawis often flick. Usually it would indicate white spot or parasites in ordinary trops but malawis do this i think to mark their territory

Yeah I have been watching now ever since I have posted this thread, and he has not done it once.

Have you checked your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Yup...all good with nitrate about 20.
