 I need help with selecting fish (and possibly mental help 4 me).

I want Angel's, have to have them...but, I'm new to the game and need to know if you guy's & gals can refer me to some ideal aquarium mates. The tank is a 75 gal short, planted and will be cycled by the end of the week.

I'm definately getting a pleco, but I need others for "visual stimulation". I'm getting back into the fish game after a 11 yr layoff, but also want my 18 my lil' girl to be entertained. In other words, I need fish w/good personalities.

Thanks!! :ninja:

Someone yesterday was asking about good tankmates for Angels ( ie. other Cichlids) and it was generally agreed that Apistogramma dwarf cichlids are good because, although different in size they occupy different parts of the tank (Angels top, upper middle, dwarfs lower middle, bottom. Also, considering good size of tank, you could either have a couple of pairs or a male with 3 or 4 females of same species (many are harem spawners). Make sure you get a plec that won't ruin your plant setup. You can get some pretty nice Peckoltias nowadays, or even go for Twig Catfish (Farlowella) or Whiptails (if there is a bit of open space in middle of tank). A pair of Hoplo catfish or a small (5-6) shoal of Porthole Cats would be good as well...
