Fish Safe Moisturizers/Lotions

If 3fsh is anything like me, my arms end up to way above my elbows in water and my arms are actually constantly dry as well, so not nice.

Yes, I am just like you... I try to only put my hands in, but by the time I'm done, I've pretty much bathed in the tank water.

There are aquatic gloves that I could buy, but those would be a hassle and you can't grip stuff well with rubber gloves on, or do intricate things like planting.

Moisturise your hands with a tiny amount of vasaline and they will stay supple and still be fish safe.

I thought about using vaseline, but I hate the way it makes my skin feel...

Hmmmmm... what about popping vitamin E capsules? Is vitamin E toxic to aquatic animals? -_- I know my sister uses it on and around her fingernails and it works wonders.

I use vaseline on the seals of my canister filters. It doesn't bother the fish at all.

I think if you wash & rinse your hands well before putting them in the tank the fish will be fine. I'll bet your hand lotions are way less toxic then what I get on my hands every day. Printing ink, solvents, and various other toxic chemicals used in the printing industry. I wash my hands after work, it never all comes out unless I am on vacation for a week. I stick my hands in tanks without a thought, the fish all live.

When i first clicked on this post I thought you were looking to put lotion on your fish!
