Righto then... I'm bored and tired so let's make it a riddle.

I'm smaller than what I eat (relatively speaking) and most of my relatives don't deserve to be tarred with the same brush as me, but do what comes naturally in the river and you could end up loosing a prized posession...

I'll take any name in the genus, but no common names, since that really does tar them all with the same brush...

Heh, I'm thinking Pygocentrus/Serrasalmus (sp?) being the main genus for those fishies. Not completely sure that they're the ones that you're going for, but it sure seems like it.

edit: hehe, I fixed the spelling a bit. Not pyRocentrus, though, fiery fish would be amusing.

I can blow my way to freedom. My brothers are many different colours and occasinoley different genetics all together. I am loved and hated by many people all over the world. I am sold at most local pet shops. Some say i am the easiest of egg layers to breed but some say i am the hardest. Some times hard to tell the difference between male and female when im younger but easier as i grow. I have very unusal needs but these needs are liked by some people. I am very well known and easy to spot in a shop my top fin is erect some times but some times down as well. What Am I?
