Fish Predict Earthquakes?

This is amazing. Article from March 4 that stated Oarfish, a deep ocean bottom fish, were being caught in fishmens nets which apparently does not happen normally. The appearance of these fish at the surface or in nets or beached have long been thought, according to folklore, to predict earthquakes.

Edit: Oops thought the article was from a week ago, it is a year old. Cool looking fish though.

And how many times do you get runs of oarfish sightings that don't correspond with earthquakes? I wouldn't say that a year out was that great timing either

Oops didn't look at the date. Oh well. I'm sort of obsessing on the Japan information right now. Cool fish though.
