Fish Losses - Electric Shock ?

If you had a mains electric shock you would be thrown a few feet wouldn't you? My husband had a mains shock while doing some electrics and he was thrown off his ladder! I have had static shocks when putting my hand in the tank water which feels sharp and unpleasant. I posted about this as I have a lot of static electricity on me and I was worried it might hurt my fish. I have found that if I put my hand in closed I don't give/get static shocks. It sounds more like static shocks to me. I know that doesn't answer what happened to your fish, just my opinion! :)

i know exacly whats happened. The same thinng happened to my cousin.
is your heater old or new?
my cousin had an old one and he had the same experience as you.
His fish were dieing and he was getting electric shocks.
they decided to check the heater only to find that some of the glass had shatted.
Water and electric dont go too well, but with this crack in his heater electric is escaping and mixing with the water causing your fish to die of electric shock.
however if your heater is new i sugest you take it back to the aquatist you bought it from and explain what has hapened to get a new one

good luck.
