Fish Like Like A High Ph And Hardness?

Hi

I am setting up a 30 litre planted cube in the next week but my tap water is naturally around pH 7.8 and quite hard. I am wondering what fish to put in there. I want something colourful but will also be happy with a higher pH

My first thought was Endlers but i was wondering if anyone else has any suggestions? thanks

In a well scaped setup (see Elisew's and Wills' photos from this week), I reckon a stocking of 2 males with 4 females could make a terrific species only tank that will probably require no heater!

do you know if they would be ok with shrimp?

I know >< about shrimp, but I suspect the temps for Black Tiger Badis (15-20C most of year, with a "summer" season of 24C tops) would be too cool for shrimps, but I could be wrong.
