Fish Keep Dying

Did the other fish have white
spots all so.

When a fish has whitespot it's best to treat another week once spots have gone.

Cloudy patches can be bad water quality, ph shock, bacterial, parasites, fungal.

Seems strange none of the others have any spots after all this time. One of the head and tail light tetras had what looked like a couple of raised scales. He had a grey coating in places which has dissapeared now, although the original Neon with the white spot still has patches on her. My stats are now Broad PH 7.6 Ammonia 0.25 Nitrite 0.50 Nitrate 10 temp 26 did a 10 litre water change yesterday and a 20 litre the day before.

How long has the tank been set up?

Hi fishy16,
I noticed that you said you use safe start, would that be tetra safe start which is a Bacterial starter and not a declorinater. To declorinate your tap water you want to be using tetra's aqua safe.

The tank was set up in August. And to answer Skins, i use JBL Biotopol Plus in the new water going in. Its a water conditioner and neutralises metals and clorine.
50% water change tomorrow. then check the stats and i'll post them.

What do you think about Tetra Aqua Easy Balance? Its supposed to reduce the amount of water changes needed by stabilizing the Ph and the KH and reducing Phosphate, just add weekly. Seems too good to be true. Has anyone tried it?

Hello,
never used the above product but to be honest since being a member on here i'm always wary of what chemicals i use.

Your tanks should be cycled by now.

Seen as your tanks on the slightly overstocked side I would over filter your tank.

Over filter??
What is being suggested is to either add another filter or replace your exsisting filter with a bigger one so that your aquarium copes better with its bio load.
