Fish In Cycle

I started my new tank like a bit over 2 weeks ago. I have 3 small African dwarf frogs in it, planning on adding more once the tank is cycled. I have been testing the water. Early on the ammonia and nitrite were pretty low, but now my nitrite is super high and ammonia is a bit lower. Nitrate seems to be rising slightly.

I have done one 50 percent water change soon as i saw the high nitrite rating. Still high today going to do another 50 percent first thing tomorrow. Any idea how long it usually takes for nitrite to go back down to a safer level till both ammonia and nitrite are at 0? I know the cycling can take over a month im just worried about the super high nitrite ratings.

I know the frogs are pretty messy and so is there food, maybe that's the reason? I figured I would add the frogs first because they are very hardy and will be the most waste producing things in the tank. I assume all i can do is keep doing water changes till the levels settle?

Each tank is different for cycling, my 110 litre took 60days and my nano tank took 6days lol. You really need to be getting that Nitrite and Ammonia levels right down to under 0.25 every day with water changes or you are doing some serious helm to your life in the tank. Water changes daily if not twice a day and keep checking.

bigger water changes are needed just make sure your temp match the water before you refill

I lost one frog =/ the smallest one, but thankfully the nitrite levels dropped very low and the other frogs seems ok. They loved their new bloodworms. Also the ammonia is almost at zero. Hoping this continues to go well and I become cycled soon so i can add my betta and maybe some ottos to work on any algae.
