What species is this julie? Black stripes over a pale colour. Bright yellow pectoral fins. Looks much smaller than a julid dickifield. Hopping max size is 3 inch.

Would you say j.ragani (Karilani Is)?
Or j.ragani (chimba)?

Not really good with type localities but i'd say chimba as karilani's have a more 'broken' stripe pattern

Yeah they look most like the chimba. I really wanted the smaller variety of Julie's bit these get as big as the dickifield Right? Do you know about pairing these chimba? I have 3 of them so think I will have to rehome the odd one if there are 2 males

Looks like my regani and they are one of the bigger julies, and when and if they pair up you will almost certainly have to re home the odd male,Julie relationships can be a bit traumatic, my pair spawn quite often, almost as often as she knocks six bells out of him, which is the case at the mo

Their ( larger julid ) aggression is why I was looking for the smaller type ( 3" ).

Out of the 3 there is 1 which has clearly gotten a lot bigger and it bullies the orher 2 so thinking 1 female 2 males here. The julie dickifield that I gave to my brother has come back as it was to aggressive for he's tank this is about 4" and very aggressive.
