Hi shepo, it really could be "columnaris". Unfortunately I can't help you much with how to treat or so. There is lot's of info on the net. The fin rot, white lips/cotton mouth and the fast rate the fish are dying all sounds like this nasty disease.

i aws losing the fish over the last 3 days and then when i got up white stuff its like slime it come of my glass easy with a quick claen but it just come back and hour later do u now if melafix is any good as it say it treat it all but dont wont to use it and waste more money cheer steve

Do a google search for columnaris+white mouth+fin rot, etc..

Melafix won't do a thing if your fish have columnaris. It is highly contagious disease and does need strong meds. Hopefully someone else will be able to help.

It does help if you post a picture of the fish for better identification of the problem :good:

Edit: Not sure what the white stuff on the glass is. Maybe your tap water is not right as well and contains high amount of heavy metals. How much water dechlorinater do you put?

i use wot it say on the bottle lol i use protozin last time and it did the trick but as the other meds in the at the mo not sure how to remove them and try protozin again but as i was typing i just took anothe fish out with liked fine but was dead so im stumped now ive tryed to add pic but it wont let me

I copied the rules for posting picture below:

When you want to show people your gorgeous tank, or your favorite fish, there are a few ways to do this. The first way, and probably the easiest way, is to go to the Members Aquarium and Fish Pictures section, and start a new topic there. Then click the 'Browse' button, on the bottom of the New topic page, and find the picture you want to show. You can add a few pictures per post. Another option is to use a photo hosting site, such as www.photobucket.com or http://imageshack.us/ . Those are free hosting sites. Once you have your pictures on there, you can copy the URL of the picture. When in the reply box, click the little icon that looks like this. Paste the address in there, and it should show up as a picture!

but as the other meds in the at the mo not sure how to remove them

You need to add carbon to your filter. They sell it in all LFS, just make sure you get the type that fits.

i have carbon but took it out for the meds

To remove the old meds and start over, you need to put it back, as long as it is still functioning as these may not do anything after a few days, depending, so a new one is best

It must be horrible netting dead fish out. I really feel for you.

use to it now as it no the first time but its the last time if i carnt sort it the ill shut it down as carnt afferd it at the mo lol

just had alook in my tank and the white stuff look like java moss and is grow very fast its all over my bog wood and plants is it worth me droping my tank and and boiling my gravel and bog wood and plants

If the fish die, you may as well shut the tank down, sterilize it properly, before starting again. If you want to save your fish, the treat them. Post a picture to get a diagnose.
There may be a way of treating without too much investment. If it is columnaris, lowering the temperature down to slow the bacteria may help additionally. It does not like salty conditions either, but you have a pleco and corydoras that do not tolerate salt, but they should be fine for a treatment like that for a while. I have personally used salt with my pleco and he was just fine. It is worth a try though, since it is an emergency. Do a large water change and if adding salt, make sure you melt the salt properly first, then add the dechlorinated salt with water very slowly. Max dosage 1tbsp per 5 gallons.

That's until you get a proper diagnose and treat with proper meds. Don't worry about the java moss for now.

so that should work out about 7 spoon as it 190 lt and is sea salt or normal salt the best and can i add my carbon back into my filter cheers steve

It's a 190 litre, but water volume maybe less when you take into consideration gravel and decoration.
190 litre is 50 gallons, so no more than 10 spoons, but make sure you add it very very slow and watch the scaless fish. Columnaris bacteria is more vulnerable for treatment in higher temps, but also kills the fish faster, so so slowly decreasing the temperature will give you more time. And man, I can no way confirm that this is what you have in your tank.
If you eventually come out with survivors, make large water changes to take the salt out.

Don't put normal salt, sea salt is better. It shouln't contain iodine, as it will kill your fish.
