Due to the standard lighting that comes with my aquarium I've struggled to get plants to thrive, but have had no problem with what I think is Vallisneria (some is straight and some grows with a twist). It has no problem sending out shoots to start new plants and continually having to trim the length as it grows across the surface.
Until recently a ill health fish prompted me to use Interpet Anti Internal Bactria treatment and Anti Fungus & Finrot treatment (not at the same time and after partial water changes). The fish is recovering, but since the treatments have been introduced algea seems to grow on the glass faster and my plants are going brown and transparent.
Is this a result of the treatment or do I have another problem?
Will the plants recover once I stop treating the water?
