Hi everyone!
I have three mystery snails, and one, named Randall, is being... attacked? By my fish. The guppies nip the snail’s antenna thingies. What really worries me is that my Siamese algae eater, Count Olaf, is algae eating the shell and rim of the shell of the snail. Should I put the snails in a different tank or is this fine?

Does the shell show signs of deterioration? If it has algae on it, they are probably just cleaning the snail. My shrimp tend to do that. The nipping of the antennae would make me want to move the snails, though.

I would remove the mystery snails from that tank. Mystery snails do have rather long antennas, which makes for an interesting toy for the fish.

Nerite snails are usually OK in with guppies, because their antennas are much shorter.

I just remembered something else, there are some baby Malaysian trumpet snails in there (hitchhikers) Sometimes I see them crawling on the big snails.

I have a spare 20 gallon, would that work?
Yes, the 20g will work.

MTS should be removed and killed immediately, if you don’t want them overpopulating the tank.

They are probably crawling on the mystery snails shells, because there is algae or some other sort of micronutrients.
