ok i have FINALLY succeeding in rearing fry. its FLYER CICHLID fry. note that the pic there does no justice to the actual fish. the male is a very colourful baby blue colour out of breeding colours and is very very dark inside breeding coloures (black) the female also, very friendly cichlids which seem to FLARE quite a bit towards iritating people :sly: when breeding, can be quite agressive and territorial in breeding but are fine with other cichlids and bichirs etc.
becoming quite rare in the hobby nowerdays and are very rarely seen in most fish shops.

ANYWAYS! i got many many baby flyers now so if your interested, i will be selling at £3 per fish
and am willing to ship (you pay the p+p) :p

if your interested contact me on 07980071805 (uk) or just post here... if you want any pics of them in breeding colours etc please dont hesitate to ask...........
many thanks
Dany

flyer....
they need a 30 gallon tank. and the male grows to about 6" and the female to 4"
all details are in the fish index....

so i could possibly squeeze a male and female into a 30g?

EDIT: just read on your site that a pair in a tank will be fine, what about with a BN pleco?

6x2x2? are you mad? these arnt pirahnas...! mine are XL at the male at 7" long, and the female at about 5" (ish) very rare youl see them that size. max is usually 5-6 for male and 4" for female.. i keep mine in a 55 gallon with a pair of small geophagus brasiliensis and a senegal and they are fine! can be agressive when breeding but will only nip a fish if they swim into there terirory, they dont go chasing fish around killing them. put it this way, a winvict is about 5 times more agressive. if you look around "guppies everywhere" youl probably find that a 20 gallon is recomended but i have to say 30 gallons with no problems, i personaly woudnt keep them in a 20 but a 30 is just fine....maybe room for that plec too! iv just sold my first batch sorry but if your willing to wait because another batch just hatched yesterday and will be fit to go in a few weeks. they really are a fish worth waiting for though...
"guppies everywhere" if your willing to wait il give you 1 or 2 for free, you just pay P+P :hey: i paid £40 for mine so consider it a bargain  :good:

for you lot who wanted pics of breeding colours, well i managed to get a few. sorry about the quality. they were kept ina 25 gallon at the time of taking these pics (breeding tank) and were VERY agressive at this time due to breeding so close to the glass so were very agitated at every moments, anywhoo there was a towel over the tank to stop them from seeinh us so it was a quick shot under the towel. so i appoligze, theres also one of the fry there too so here we go.
PICS

the two fish on thoses pics are the same fisih in and out of there breeding colours. (male)

Dany, lovely fish and very nice website. I think you need to either get a spellchecker or get someone to go through all the text for you as there are quite a lot of spelling mistakes. If these were rectified it would make the site look more professional. :good:
