I have a 90ltr Tank.
I am looking at giving my girlfriend the fish i currently have in my tank (she wants to start the hobby as well), and am looking at getting some new fish, i am keeping the filter etc i already have, tank has already been cycled (obviously).

I want to know what fish i could have in the tank.
I am keeping my rainbow shark, but he will eventually be going into a bigger tank.

I want some decent sized fish (thinking some sword tails) but dont want anything too small, ill most likely get a shoal of neons, but they are the only tetras i want, what other fish could i have?

the Picture includes my tank and its ornaments that will be in it.

I'm fairly new to fish keeping but I be live neon tetras prefer soft acidic water whereas swordtails do best in harder more alkaline water. I've kept swordtails and they are beautiful fish, never kept neon tetras but I wouldn't recommend them in the same setup.
What kind of fish did you have in mind? Do you want large schools of small fish or a few larger center piece type fish? 90 litres is roughly 24us gallons? I currently have a 20tall that I am planning to stock with dwarf puffers and otos.

If you're looking for something flashy you could maybe do a pair of rams or apistos, though I think in 90 gallons only 1 pair would be best.

I was thinking about it and i might just get some different species of tetras in  shaols and then have a ram or one of thos apistos as a centrepiece can i have one of each together?

What is your water like? Hard/soft?

I wouldn't recommend keeping rams with apistos unless you had a lerger tank. Mikrogeophagus (rams) species are still technically apistogrammas as far as I understand it and depending on who you ask should still be classified as such instead of being given their own classification. That being said, mixing apistos is usually a no-go unless you have a large footrint for  each to claim their own territory, they are in the cichlid family and can tend to be more agressive than community fish, especially when spawning.

I do apologize, im not sure what you mean by hard/soft water. In a comical sense, the water is soft :/ haha

if i cant mix them but can have a pair, can i have two males? or will they fight?

Yes I have no idea about Australian water, here in England I live in a very chalky area so my kettle builds up with limescale caused by the hardness of the water so I use RO water with my Angel's as they come from South America which is a soft and acidic environment.
I can't think of a way to describe it anymore :p
