Hello!
I am looking to get a 20 gallon tank and would like to get the most fish possible, but not so many that they are cramped in there. I love colorful fish, but I am not really picky. I know I want guppies, but I'm not sure what else could fit. Basically, I'm asking what are good tank mates for guppies in a 20 gallon freshwater tank. Also, I have hard water from a well. I don't really want to buy a water test because right now I'm just looking at the idea of getting fish, and I don't want to get an expensive water test if I end up not getting fish.
Thanks.

I have a 25 gallon with lots of rasbora, 20 phoenix, 8 celestial, 8 green neon, and 8 emerald. 6 pygmy catfish and 6 Otocinclus for cleanup. Nano fish I'm a fan of, though rasbora can be easily stressed quick ph changes and water parameters. Once you get um happy they school peacefully. Live plants and fully cycled tank needed. So many options out there just keep an eye on there ph and heat needs so they all are happy for best coloration and health. Start off getting tank setup and cycled then test water and see what ya need to do to get it where ya need it based on the fish you want. "Aqua huna" was a great site to buy my nano fish would strongly recommend.
