In my 180L community tank my fish have been flicking for 2-3 months now but no deaths have occured. I have tried giving a full treatment for Gill Flukes and have done weekly water changes but there is still no change. I have also looked for white spot, but no fish in the tank show any white spots, so what could it be?

Thanks, Fishkeeper2006. :)

what fish have you got and whats the water stats? eg amonia Nitrite

The flashing is caused from the skin or gills being irritated. Causes are improper water readings. Ammonia, Nitrites, PH. Check all water states. Could also be water that was added with out a water conditioner. If everything is good to go then treat for a parasite problem.{not just fluckes} It can be any parasite. A good treatment is a salt treatment at 1 teaspoon for every 1 gal. water for three treatments every 12 hours. Keep in for up to three months.

If your fish have gill flukes, they would be breathing rapidly and have red, inflamed gills. Do your fish have any of those symptoms? Also, take a flashlight and shine it on the fish, do you see a gold dusting covering them?

Just to re-itterate what the previous posters have said, you need to get your water tested.

Definately no inflamed gills and they arent breathing rapidly. I will do water stats tommorow and another 20% change, thank-you for the help so far. :)
