Fish Faded How To Get Him Back To Normal?

I have a black skirt tetra that was stressed after I redid my tank and took him out and he started to fade in color really bad. (he was a little faded before hand because one of his friends died though) But now he is really faded. He has been like this for 4 or 5 days. He is eating and swimming fine and appears to be perfectly healthy. Any advice what I can do to fix him? Does it mean he is still stressed over something? Im more worried about his health than his looks and it just doesnt seem right he would stay like this for this long without some sort of a problem. Thank you for your help.

First off have you checked your water parameters? (Ammonia, nitrite-most important), nitrate, pH, GH? Also, most tetras need to be in a school of 5 or more to feel safe. That would help with the stress.
