hey wuts up everybody i put piece driftwood in the tank and the pleco is sucking the bark off it and i dont knw if this is bad thing or wut anybody help

yea i knw hes eating the whole thing up lol and been in there only a week and hes managed to make spots all over it orange from sucking the bark off it so its not a bad thing

Its fine, although i have noticed it makes a mess in my tanks but i wouldn't worry about it. I have also heard of pleco's enjoying the wood, my green spotted seems to.

Many plecs graze on wood, it is natural, in fact many species actually need wood in their diet to live.

my 4 inch pleco is doing exactly the same, sucking off strips off my bogwood here and there. he's getting through the algae and bark quite quickly

Plecos need it to aid their digestion - they will live a longer life if provided with bogwood etc to graze on.

Completely normal. Plecs eat wood. It's good for them and as indigoj said, essential part of their diet.
