Hi, i noticed yesterday my mollie was at a 45 degree angle in the water, with its tail down and head up.I couldn't see anything wrong with it. Today it died.
I have just noticed my platty sitting on the bottom of my tank. This doesn't look too healthy either. I did a water change yesterday and all water stats are normal. I have sand as a substrate and a planted aquarium.
All my other fish look fine at the moment. Anyone got any advice?

thanks

Did you cycle the tank?
And you say your stats are 'Normal'.. What are the exact results?
Thanks
Elise

Hi tank is cycled, stats are PH 8, ammonia 0ppm, nitrates 40ppm and nitrites 0ppm. I know the nitrates and ph are pretty high, but this is what they have always been. The water test was done with an API liquid test kit.

There seem to be no spots on the fish. The breathing seemed really slow, the waste seems normal. i am just going to do another water test for ammonnia. This was 0ppm yesterday, but will check again.

i have just carried out an ammonia test and the reading is 0ppm

try looking for parasites in the fish's gills if their is then the fish has a bacterial disease that should be treated with Maracyn-Oxy. By itself in a isolation tank, so it has less stress from other fish hopes this helps:)
