Sorry to hear this ace, hows things this morning, I know you have no dechlor, you could boil some water first, or leave it to sit overnight if need be to gas of the chlorine (although I know it wont work on chloramine).

Alot of people actually dont use dechlor (read thru the scientific part of the forum) but on large changes like that Im not sure how it would work.

I feel people think I dont know this information, I know you mean well. When the tank is 300 litres+ and the tank is as bad as it was then waiting for water to boil off really wasnt an option....he moment, its almost cleared up and they are chasing each other round the tank. Almost normal me thinks!.

Oh I know you know, wasnt trying to be condesending to you ace, just trying to offer some support. Was trying in a haphazard way to say that you dont in a well established tank with good old mature media, necessarily need dechlorinator and that hopefully it wont have effected your bacteria much

Anyway, glad you've had no more deaths and the fish are looking happier
