i have a 95 gallon tank with tangs they are all breathing very fast. why are they doing that and how can i get them back to normal?

Tangs are very sensitive to oxygen levels. Anything but almost saturation levels of oxygen can casue them to have labored breathing, eventually laying on their sides on that bottom of the tank and then death. Make sure that you have at least 20x turnover in your tank. IMO 95 gallons is enough for maybe one small tang, how many tangs (and other fish) are in your tank?

I may have jumped the gun on things, it is possible that your tank water chemistry is crashing as well ( I assumed that your tank is not newly set up, but then I saw your post count of 4 and it got me thinking) For now, test your water params, make sure you have a good amount of flow (at least 20x) and tell use more specifics about your tank so we can better diagnose the problem.

If you post more detail about your tank - e.g. how long it's been set up, stock, filtration, water parameters etc. - we will be able to advise you better.

There are about half a dozen common problems which could cause the symptoms you describe, so more info. is definately needed.

In the meantime, it might be worth adding an airstone to the tank to make sure the oxygen levels are ok while we work on the problem.
