Flicking and rubbing, when you see a fish presenting this behaviour on the odd occasion(once/twice a day)is there a problem or will fish naturally do this.

Some fish do occasionally flick, mine do sometimes during or just after a wc or if they have been sitting in the airbubbles. More than a couple of times a day I would start to suspect ich or something parasitic.

IMO I'd say it's pretty natural behavior, aggression is much easier to spot and it's more likely to be communication between individuals in terms of dominance, breeding or establishing territories...just keep an eye out for any unusual eventualities or change
