There was a thread several months ago that also had an extensive list. One of these threads ought to be pinned.

Yup - just can't find it now :S they should be combined (whoever can find the other one) and pinned

VT - Veiltail Betta
CT - Crowntail Betta
DT - Doubletail Betta
HM - Halfmoon Betta
PK - Plakat Betta

Do those count?

DD

You are forgetting a few:
ST: Suntail Betta
D: Delta Betta
SD: Super Delta Betta
FF: Fringefin Betta

sp = species, basically used in undescribed (scientifically) fish eg Apistogramma Sp. "Rotpunkt" is a type of apistogramma awaiting scientific identification/description

Both following are used in a similar way

aff (affinis) - believed to be similar but distinct species

cf (confer) - believed to be different but the same species

spp = species plural, basically refering to multiple types of the species eg Apistogramma Spp refers to more than one species of apistogramma

A little more scientific than the others listed but some still fairly common especially - sp.

Mhmhmh.... I'm dealing more with common names, and this list deals with actual fish/invert names, as opposed to related terms (lfs, lps, mts etc.). I'll add the betta ones, I'll stick with the common ones though as Fringefin and Suntail Betta are'nt really common...
