First Water Change For New Tank

I'm about to do my first water change on my 55 Gallon tank and I'm wondering. Do I do a 10% or a 25% water change?

I know with my little 15 Gallon I did a 25%(4 Gallon Change) twice a week and I plan on only doing a once a week change for the bigger tank.

Surely it would depend on your "levels". Have you had an ammonia reading yet?. Personally I would advise you to take ammonia and nitrite readings. If they are still low then do 10%. If you are showing more than 0.50 ammonia then do 25%, more than 1.0 do a couple of changes that are 24 hours apart.
