sweet, the dominant one seems to dislike the smaller one a lot, but gets on with the white (forgotten the actuall types !) alot more since there both similar sizes.

i also bumped up the temperature to 30c today since i read that it stops whitespot more and increases the discus metabolism making them eat more so that they can grow better, not 100% sure wether all thats true havent looked fully into it yet!

You will find that bigger Discus are normally more agressive, so thats probably the reason.


Although what you say is true, normally it's recommended to have a high temperature just because that's the temperature of the Discus natural habitat.

nice tank plants and fish selection u have a well stocked tank there
lukkin pretty good for a begginer keep up the good work (Y)
wont the discus start digging up your plant life though? or maybe thats oscars hmmm i get them mixxed up lol

They are pretty hard to mix up, don't look anything a like IMO.



And, yeah it's Oscars that up root plants.

just need to remeber discus are the pretty nice cichlids oscars are the ugly evil ones though im starting to like oscars a bit more lately....


man discus are addictive! o and btw is my godl severum actually a severum since im a bit on edge after the lots of pink convict revelations lately!
