Hi everyone! We just noticed that Sally, one of my dalmation mollies, is getting fat. Unless I'm feeding her too much  I think she's pregnant! (yeah!!) My question is this: I've noticed in the last few days that she's taken to hiding out or separating herself from the rest of the tank. She was always the most aggressive female so her behaviour is quite unusual. The male molly, Howard, has been after her alot lately too. I was just wondering if this is normal behaviour for pregnant fish? Anything I can do to ensure she doesn't get too stressed and abort the babies?

thanks so much for your help!!

Is her belly starting to look 'boxy' or squared? If it is,she might be close to dropping. In my experience,my females ALWAYS started to hide and get really grouchy at every one else in the tank. I would just let her have her babies in the main tank. Molly babies are pretty good sized when they are born. My molly females NEVER eat their babies. I have a trillion of them. They keep showing up in my main tank AND my breeder net is head to tail molly babies.

thanks Heather! Hope this is the first of many, many babies to come!!

after 7 weeks of no pregancies I was beginning to worry that my males were either gay or unable to perform! :p :D

Glad to see all is working as it should!!
