First Planted Tank

If you can locate this, I'd recommend Lobelia cardinalis. The emmersed growth looks similar to purple waffle, though once submerged it will revert back to an all-green growth. Another option is a cryptocoryne. Some species (red wendtii, bronze wendtii, lutea or lucens) tend to have purplish leaf-undersides. Both plants are simple to maintain and do well under most conditions.

hey all im gonna ad another 30W of light soon and dose anyone know where i can get some glosso??? i cant find it any where and the funny thing is i red some where that it is supposed to be from australia

www.aquariumgarden.com has a great selection of plants, including glosso, really cheap with cheap shipping. They have good quality and a great garantee.

Try ebay, there are sellers on there that will shoip worldwide. Your tank is 100lt right? Thats about 24USg, so with 60w lighting you've got 2.5WPG.

I don't know, but it must have something to do with the fact that you have an open top tank. Perhaps, you should try starting a new post asking people with open top tanks if they have this problem.

For moisture problem, I solved it by letting the windows open most of the time. Here in Malaysia, the humidity is quite high and weather is warm too, so by opening the windows slightly to let the room has good vantilation then should have no moisture problem. :)
