Okay, I have a 75 gallon tank. Right now I have a penguin 350 and an Aqueon filter (both HOB) that will filter ~650GPM. I have a double strip light (T-8). no plants and no plecs. I know I need a pile of rocks for structure and hiding places.
Few Questions:

1. Do I really put the rocks directly on the glass? That seems like it could create very high areas of stress on the glass.
2. Stocking
1M2F LAbeotropheus Trewavasae
1M2F Labidochromis
1M2F Metriaclima Lombardoi
1M3F Cynotilapia Afra

Sound okay?
Any other advice?

I used egg crate in my setup. Just set it on the bottom of the tank and put the rocks on and then the sand. I don't think the tank really needed it. It was more for my peace of mind.

You can have up to 20 fish in this tank. I'd have an extra female or two for the Kenyi (Lombardoi) and trewavasae.

Don't forget Herbivore food.
