Are you kidding they dont destroy plants? they will rip plants into peices!!!! cichlids + Live plants= massacre on the plants, they cant even stand my fake plants!

My 8" GT and 7" jack dempsey don't touch the plants.

Jack dempseys aren't that aggressive. Mine is afraid of 2" danios.

I dont think a jack dempsey will do well with a firemouth. They are way to territorial and will claim the entire tank for itself. my stock list for a 55g with 2 Fire mouths would be like this:
2 Fire mouths
2 sevrums
Pleco..

that is a very empty tank dude..... but your rite, firemouths and jacks wont work good...

I don't know about the other fish, but severume eat live plants, which are actually a big part of their diet once they get to around 4-5" long. Mine eats lettuce, with no preparation, just cold out of the refrigerator

you could easaly have some loaches and some mbuna africans and some blue rams and some blue acaras there is my list for you there is so many more but that is what came to my head!

umm no he couldnt the africans would kill the rams in a couple of days if not hours. and they have totally different water params.
