So anyhow -an ideal way to introduce fish to your tank-stressfree too.

Bignose about the q tank how much would you clean it out each day if you didn't have a filter? 50% Also i don't have a spare heater and can't buy one as i've run out of money and my dad won't buy me one. I could put in some decorations not gravel though. Also what kind of plastic container. Minimum size. Also could you just put in in the tank and let it float like i did with my fry which are now in a breeder net. (Nearly a week old how sweet lol). Also if i did convince my dad to buy a heater how many watts? Wouldn't they get stressed in their? When its christmas i'm gonna buy a q tank from pets at home.

but wont this introduce water from your lfs into your tank?

This doesn't matter if you have a quar tank. The outside of the bag can have water on it, when you float the bag you are introducing water borne bacteria. This little device will transfer some of the lfs water, that doesn't matter in a quar tank.

Bignose is on the money in post #30. A little money spent can save you a lot of money, as well as aggravation down the road.

yes but for people who dont quarantine? Also a tiny amount of water on the outside of the bag is hardly the same as the amount that will get introduced to the tank via this.

If you insist on not rigging a cheap quar setup you could use a margarine tub clipped to the inside of the tank. Dump the contents of the bag into the tub, clip the tub in the tank, and pour a little tank water in every so often. After at least doubling the quantity of water pour the contents of the tub into the net, then add the unquared fish into your tank of healthy fish.

If you aren't going to quar you may as well add the bag water to the tank, and learn early on why you should have a quar setup.
