How can you tell if a guppy is male or female? What about an Endler?

If aq guppy breeds with an Endler, what will the offspring look like?

endlers are basically a type of guppy, the females tend to be bigger and less colourful, check the livebearers section

Ahh, that's simple. :) Males are much more colorful, have a gonopodium (a rod-shaped fin near the back of their body), and females have a gravid spot (a dark colored spot around their bellies). Most females have very little or no color on their bodies but may have some on their tails.

Endlers can breed with guppies. Sometimes, the "endlers" in pet stores are just guppies that look like them.

Put them in the tank and if they haven't had fry in 4 weeks, they are males.

Males have more colour and larger fins, main thing is a sexual organ called a gonopodium, this is the anal fin as seen in the following pic

Their sexed in the same way, as all common livebearers are.

They look like endlerish, the basic colouring but they usualy show swords on the tail and a large dorsal fin, how ever most shop endlers are already endler x guppy. Their are a few true endler's but these are still rare in the hobby.
