So, I have been trying to get a spare tank (up to 10g) in my house for a while. My mom has always shot it down. It would mainly be used for quarantine, or for isolating and treating a fish. I guess when it's not used for that, I could use it as a fry tank. Regardless, I finally convinced my mom. She is having me take down my 20g, and 2; 30g's as she is going to replace the carpet with laminant hard wood. So, where do the fish go during that time? Yep, a new tank, just for that (hehe, I'm devious). So, I am setting it up tomorrow, transfering media, and putting 1 krib, and like 6 pleco's in there (temporary of course!).

I am going to put all the fish in the new tank soon. It came with a cheap filter, and when I say cheap, I mean McDonalds kid meal toy cheap. Ohhh well, better than nothing I suppose (might have to get me another aqua clear).

Well, it all went smooth. I need to get some pic's up today. I have a headache and don't want to bother with it at the moment. I got some gravel from a local today to put in the 10g, I transferred the little aqua clear filter and the bio-balls into the new tank, along with a heater. I think that they should be fine, with out any ammonia or nitrite spikes. I will check it out later. I haven't fed the pleco's in 2 days, in hopes that they don't poop everywhere. The krib looks fine, just chilled out in a cave.

It sounds to me as if you are solving your issues yourself Krib. The best I can offer is a well done to you. I wish I had something more to offer.

Thank you! I am going to bleach the entire tank and gravel so if there are any parasites in the tank, they will be killed. I have seen some worms in the gravel lately, and I am unsure as to what kind they are. I doubt they are beneficial to my tank, so the bleach will take care of them.

Be sure to use a good dechlorinator after the bleach, to remove any traces of chlorine that might otherwise be left from your bleach effort.

Thanks for the heads up! Is there a certain bleach to water ration I should be using?

1 parts bleach to 10 part water will do the trick!

Well, I OD on the bleach. It was way more than that. I just wanted to make sure that I killed those worms! I know I need to get pictures of the tank. It really does look nice. I just keep forgetting to take the picture when I am back there!
