i really like that background you have, the stone looks great! where'd you get it from?
Tell that to my A. reineckii which did quite well in 1.4 WPG, and they will laugh at you. laugh.gif You just have to know which species of red plants do well. Have a read at the 20g journal in my signature. It is a very similar setup, just smaller, but it shares some common characteristics, inert substrate (you have sand, I have small gravel), lower light, Nutrafin CO2 (if you choose to get it). Note the plant species, it will save you a lot of trouble deciding which plants work and which do not. In addition, I've got an easy plant list in my sig as well. If you can manage a close-up of the red plants I'll let you know what you've got. Many shops grow plants not normally so red under very bright metal hallides, making them turn red. Once in the home aquarium they settle down to a more natural color.

Yeah I love my little bn's esp. the larger of the 2 he has a great character!Looks really good! And for the record those bristlenoses are awesome! I just got a batch of 6 for most all my tanks. I love them!
looks really nice.
Is it a Rio 400 like mine ?
151 x 62 x 51cm =size
Then as there is 12 inches to a foot and 2.5 cm to an inch I kinda think it would be a five foot tank not a four.
